Bold, devilish Art Deco face inspired by a vintage Dutch ad for “Philips Electrische Rachels” (Electric Heaters).

Pieter Das (1881 – 1937) was a designer and illustrator who opened his own advertising studio in Soest, Netherland where he created works for a varied clientele. He produced brochures, posters and ads for Philips from 1917–1918.

In 1920 he immigrated to New York and began a career as  a painter.
