Tin robots have been a favoured toy from the 1940s til today.  I received a tin robot for Christmas in 1969.  Sitting at the base of our tree, flipping the switch and watching in wonder as he began to walk and swing his arms.  Then suddenly, the panels on his chest swung open and lights pulsed, the guns blazed and sparks flew…

It blew my mind and to this day is a cherished childhood memory I still hold.
