Juan García Esquivel (1918-2002), popularly known simply as Esquivel!, was a Mexican band leader, pianist and composer who became “The King of Space Age Pop”.  At the height of his popularity in the 50s and 60s, his quirky and sophisticated brand of instrumental music blended lounge and jazz with Latin rythms, creating what is now known as “Space Age Bachelor Pad Music”.

His brilliant, kitschy compositions are often heard today in the soundtracks of many movies, TV shows and commercials around the world.
